UniDyne is a single-stage engine air cleaner that is designed for installation directly on each root blower on an electro-motive diesel (EMD) engine. With its superior performance, UniDyne engine air cleaners are an ideal replacement for panel, oil bath, & fiberglass type engine filters.
HIGHLY EFFICIENT FILTRATION
UniDyne cells are 99.95% efficient on standardized fine air cleaner test dust measuring 2.5 microns or larger thanks to two replaceable pleated filter paper elements; an easy-to-read exterior filter indicator advises when the elements need to be replaced. Unlike oil bath type air cleaners, which lose efficiency at engine speeds lower than the speed and air flow for which they were designed, UniDyne’s efficiency remains constant regardless of engine speed. Combining the filter efficiency with heavy gauge steel housing, UniDyne filters are ideal for use with EMD engines & marine services using variable speed drill rig DC generators.
